Summary
SnipKeep, a text expander extension for Google Chrome, does not collect, sell, or share your personal data. Your snippets stay on your device.
What we store
Your snippets, shortcuts, and settings are stored locally in your browser using Chrome extension storage. They are never sent to us or any third party.
What we do not collect
- No analytics, telemetry, or tracking
- No browsing history or page content
- No keystrokes are recorded or transmitted
- SnipKeep never expands text in password or payment card fields
Network requests
The only network request SnipKeep makes is to validate a SnipKeep Pro license key with our payment provider, Lemon Squeezy, when you activate or re-check Pro. This sends the license key and the minimum information Lemon Squeezy requires to verify it. Purchases are processed by Lemon Squeezy under its own privacy policy; we never see your full payment details.
Permissions
SnipKeep needs access to the pages you type on so it can detect shortcuts and insert your snippet text. That access is used only locally for expansion.
Deleting your data
Delete snippets inside the extension, or uninstall SnipKeep to remove all locally stored data.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update this page and the date above.
